In Unity, we believe that our personal experience of God is the most important spiritual practice. Our founder, Charles Fillmore wrote in the early 20th century about prayer and meditation in his books. Here are some quotes of his teaching about meditation:

For many years, congregants requested recordings of Rev. Christina's guided meditations from her Sunday services and classes. With the generous support and expertise of several wonderful volunteers a beautiful meditation CD was born in 2004.
“Union with the One” is a collection of six guided meditations to open your heart and mind to the peace of God. This popular CD is now being used by people worldwide for their daily spiritual practice, for group classes and retreats, to aid in relaxation prior to surgery and for winding down at the end of the day prior to falling asleep.
